For his day job, David H. Falloure is a passionate and proven professional marketing communicator whose work has been recognized by the ANA Business Marketing (formerly Business Marketing Association), the American Marketing Association, the AVA Digital Awards, and the Telly Awards. There have also been a few mentions in AdWeek and the Houston Business Journal. He blends a strong mix of strategic, analytical, and creative skills, along with deep insight into marketing strategy with firm grasp of trends, platforms, tactics, and measurement in owning relevant and innovative initiatives.
Falloure’s second career is writing equally passionate about history and Texas. He spent significant time as a columnist for the Examiner News Group, a contributor to the Houston/Heights Tribune, the Buzz Magazines, and the Houston Chronicle. He also penned articles in the Texas State Historical Association (TSHA) Handbook of Houston launched in March 2017.
Counterclockwise is Falloure’s first novel—a suspense thriller set primarily in 1942 Houston, but one click on the nonfiction tab reveals four other books he’s authored, including Brands in History, the book based on his long-running blog of the same title. In fact, you might check out the blogs and vlogs tab for links to Falloure’s two blogs and his YouTube page. And YouTube is where you’ll catch Falloure in the award-winning documentary, the Houston Ship Channel: Deep Water Centennial.
What’s next? VINDUCTUS is a novel currently under development and due to launch sometime in 2025. Also due in 2025 is a centennial book about the Junior League of Houston. No release dates for either have been announced.
Husband of over 30 years and father of three sons, Falloure makes his home in Texas. He is also an admiral in the Texas Navy. Yes, there is a Texas Navy—and it’s an organization dedicated to preserving state heritage and history.
